Leadership Institute Focuses on Advocacy and Legislative Engagement

The ACEC Wisconsin Leadership Institute Class of 2026 gathered in Madison on February 24–25 for a focused session on government affairs and advocacy.
The session emphasized the critical need to connect the impact of politics on the engineering profession.
Participants gained an inside look at the legislative process and how policy decisions are shaped beyond the textbook explanation. The discussion then shifted to ACEC Wisconsin’s priority issues and how engineers can effectively advocate for the profession.
The Class of 2026 joined engineers from across the state for Legislative Day — putting their preparation into action at the State Capitol.
