Surfaces and grading-related toolsets are among the most important, yet most complex toolsets in Civil 3D. To effectively grade out sites and other non-transportation features requires creative use of the software, as well as a thorough understanding of the features available. This class will provide industry-tested tips on use of Surfaces and Feature Lines in Civil 3D, including the best ways to manage your Surface so always understandable and stable, including the concept of an “editing hierarchy” when working with surfaces. We’ll also dive into all the core and hidden tools used when working with Feature Lines. This class will give the novice and intermediate user a solid foundation for grading in Civil 3D.
