First Holiday Baking Contest Was a Hit

Posted By: Kelly Veit ACEC WI News,

The Public Relations Committee was looking for a fun, engaging social media campaign during December. We decided to give a holiday baking contest a try. The contest was a big hit with 17 entries from ACEC WI members, family, friends, and new followers. This is by far our most successful social media campaign reaching nearly 6,500 people and generating 712 votes.

A big thank you to everyone who entered the contest. We were impressed by the quality of entries – cakes, cookies, pies, and truffles. The only thing that would make this contest better would be the ability to taste the entries. Everything looked delicious!

And the winner is…. Molly’s Holiday Cake!

This impressive cake was baked by Molly Cerasoli, Marketing Coordinator at Mead & Hunt. Molly's Holiday Cake earned 275 votes.

About the Cake

"The cake is a chocolate cake made with black cocoa, filled with chocolate ganache, and frosted with American buttercream. I would have loved to have been able to share my cake with my coworkers at Mead & Hunt if it weren’t for the pandemic! My colleagues, and especially my supervisor, Clelia Morris, are some of the biggest supporters of my baking. Clelia was actually the one who helped me come up with the name for my baking Instagram account, @criminallydelicious, where I’ve documented my bakes for the past year."

As the contest winner, Molly will receive a $50 gift card. Congratulations, Molly!
