Join Chris Klein at Legislative Day

Good Morning,

I would like to invite you to Legislative Day on February 19. It is our largest advocacy event of the year and gives you an opportunity to meet directly with your state legislators. We have a morning full of advocacy education and cap it all off with a happy hour. I also encourage you to bring other people from your firm so we can expand our advocacy efforts.
 
The importance of Legislative Day is clear. Last year we fought more transportation money – the legislature passed $467 million in new funding. We fought for a robust Capital budget – the legislature passed the largest Capital budget in state history. We fought for updated water policy - one of our requests will be announced today as part of the Speakers Task Force on Water Quality!
 
Already this legislative session we have stopped legislation we opposed, amended legislation we wanted changed and successfully had legislation introduced we supported.
 
None of these things could be accomplished without the hands-on contributions of our members. We have made real improvements for the industry and will continue to be successful when we all work together.
