Michael Baker International is pleased to announce that Georgia Vergou-Ornek, PE has joined the firm as a roadway project manager. Read the full press release below:

"Georgia Vergou-Ornek, P.E., has joined Michael Baker International’s Milwaukee office as Roadway Project Manager. Georgia has more than 20 years of experience with a diverse background including: project management; highway, interchange and roundabout design; 3D modeling; drainage analysis and design; safety analysis; and benefit cost and life cycle cost analysis. She most recently served as a Project Manager for WisDOT and previously held positions with both national and international engineering firms.

In her new role at Michael Baker, Georgia will be responsible for project management for both WisDOT and local agency projects, including traditional design-bid-build projects and design-build projects; QA/QC of plans and specifications; engaging in project pursuits; and mentoring and training junior staff.

Georgia has a bachelor’s degree in Surveying Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, Greece, and her master’s degree in Civil Engineering from Marquette University."
