Ayres Associates is pleased to announce that Nathan Vaughn, PLS has joined the Professional Land Surveyor Section of the Wisconsin Examining Board of Architects, Landscape Architects, Professional Engineers, Designers, and Professional Land Surveyors. Read the full press release below:

"Nathan Vaughn, PLS, manager of Ayres’ Southern Midwest Survey Group, has joined the Professional Land Surveyor Section of the Wisconsin Examining Board of Architects, Landscape Architects, Professional Engineers, Designers, and Professional Land Surveyors. Vaughn is a land surveyor member designee who joined the board at the Professional Land Surveyor Section’s July 9 meeting.

The Professional Land Surveyor Section consists of three land surveyor members and two public members. Vaughn’s term expires on July 1, 2024. The five-section Examining Board has 25 members, who are appointed by the governor and confirmed by the state Legislature. Vaughn’s appointment is pending legislative confirmation.

The Professional Land Surveyor Section approves PLS applications, considers disciplinary proceedings, and reviews pending legislative, policy, and administrative rule proposals. The overall Examining Board reviews requirements, procedures, continuing education requirements, and matters of professional conduct.

Vaughn manages Ayres’ survey groups in Madison and Waukesha, Wisconsin, offices, and he is based in Waukesha. A proven and articulate team player and leader, Vaughn is a registered professional land surveyor with 16 years of professional experience. He previously served as the Wisconsin Department of Transportation Southeast Region consultant survey data coordinator. He is a certified Civil 3D trainer for survey and plats and a graduate of the American Council of Engineering Companies Future Leaders Institute.
