MSA Professional Services is pleased to announce the inaugural class of Hantzsch School of Leadership scholarship recipients. Read the full press release below:
"MSA Professional Services, Inc. (MSA) recently announced the names of four company interns to receive 2026 Hantzsch School of Leadership scholarship awards. Leah Coenen, Mariana Garcia, Hadyn Markham, and Samuel Totzke were chosen from a pool of MSA intern applicants by an external selection committee, each to receive $2,500 toward their educational pursuits and programs.
The Hantzsch School of Leadership scholarship program is in its inaugural year and pays homage to firm CEO Emeritus, Gil Hantzsch, PE, who served a 32-year tenure with the company — 11 of which as president and CEO — before retiring in 2025. The scholarship recognizes students with excellent leadership qualities, accomplishments, and philosophies. It was established as part of The MSA Foundation and plans to award $10,000 in scholarship support annually to MSA student interns.
This year’s Hantzsch School of Leadership scholarship recipients are as follows:
Leah Coenen originates from Westfield, Wisconsin, and is enrolled at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville where she is studying Environmental Engineering and Spanish. A first-year intern at MSA, Leah has been an active part of the firm’s Water service line, working from the company’s Baraboo, Wisconsin, location.
Mariana Garcia is originally from Barranquilla, Columbia, and currently lives in Madison, Wisconsin. She attends the Milwaukee School of Engineering as an Architectural Engineering student and has been serving as an Electrical Engineering intern in MSA’s Milwaukee office.
Hadyn Markham is from Kiel, Wisconsin, pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Hadyn is a first-year MSA intern based in Kiel, contributing to the firm’s Electrical Engineering projects and pursuits.
Sam Totzke is a returning MSA intern from the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he studies Environmental Engineering. Originally from Stevens Point, Wisconsin, Sam has been serving as an intern on the firm’s Water Engineering team, based in Madison.
