Ayres Associates is pleased to announce that Cheri Grainger has been named vice president of the firm's new telecommunications division. Read the full press release below:

'Cheri Grainger has been named vice president of Ayres Associates’ new telecommunications division, bringing a two-decade track record of successfully leading fiber optic and communications organizations.

Grainger is responsible for the operation of this new division at the Eau Claire-based engineering and architecture firm, including achieving client satisfaction and design quality standards with utility locate crews, outside plant (OSP) engineers, and utility designers. Grainger will be based in Ayres’ Waukesha office and will oversee staff in the Waukesha, Green Bay, and Eau Claire offices in Wisconsin and the Cape Coral and Tampa offices in Florida.

Grainger will develop an organizational structure for the division, with an initial emphasis on new business development in an industry where she is well-connected. The goal is market expansion in the telecommunications, natural gas, and cable TV sectors.

“Cheri has managed complex organizations and raised what can be commodity-level services to high-value communication solutions for businesses,” says Rich Schoenthaler, executive vice president and chief financial officer. “That’s helped her deliver growth in a highly competitive market, and we look forward to deploying her passion and expertise at Ayres.”

Grainger holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
