Rose Morgan Honored with Lifetime Achievement Award
It is our honor to recognize Rosalie F. Morgan, PE, FACEC, EMCS Inc., with the 2021 Lifetime Achievement Award.
The Lifetime Achievement award honors the legacy of members who had a profound impact on both the organization and the engineering profession. It was developed to recognize an elite group of influential members for significant contributions of the course of a career.
Rose graduated with a BS in Civil Engineering in 1977 from Purdue University. After seven years with a Wisconsin wastewater consulting engineering firm, she founded EMCS, Inc. in January 1983. Today, EMCS is a multidiscipline civil engineering firm of 45 employees with offices in Milwaukee, Wausau, and Madison, Wisconsin; and Indianapolis, Indiana.
Rose’s involvement in ACEC Wisconsin, ACEC National and the industry overall is unparalleled. In ACEC Wisconsin, perhaps Rose is most well known for her leadership and active role in creating the Transportation Leadership Committee. She served on the ACEC Wisconsin Board of Directors from 2002 - 2008 including a term as Chair of the Board in 2006-07.
Her involvement extends to the National level as well. She has served as PAC Chair or Co-Chair for Wisconsin since 2000. Throughout this time ACEC Wisconsin was known as a state to meet its goals quickly. She’s involved on serve national committees and task forces. Since 2012 she has served on the ACEC Life/Health Trust Board of Trustees and is currently serving as Chair.
Rose’s contributions to the industry, education and her community are astounding and would take pages to cover. She is truly a legend in Wisconsin’s engineering community. She is most deserving of this Lifetime Achievement Award.
