'Patrick (Pat) Carnahan has been named the first group leader for Mead & Hunt’s One Water group. This group is new for the firm, and is comprised of the former Environment & Infrastructure group combined with the Water Resources group. This change allows Mead & Hunt to provide clients with a greater breadth and depth of services. As an expanding population and global climate change drive increased water infrastructure needs, the One Water group is vital to the firm’s overall strategic vision and growth as they work to meet the needs of communities across the nation.

Founded in 1900 by water resources engineer Daniel Mead, Mead & Hunt has since expanded significantly in size and geographic reach. The firm now provides diversified services nationwide. With a team of over 1200 professionals in over 50 offices across the US, Mead & Hunt supports several key markets, including aviation, transportation, food and beverage, and federal, state, and local government, in addition to serving the broad water market.

Pat brings decades of water/wastewater experience to the group leader role, spanning municipal and industrial water and wastewater treatment, from evaluations through to design and commissioning. He is also well-versed in design-build and engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) delivery methods. Pat’s leadership in potable water supply, treatment and distribution, wastewater collection, treatment, biosolids, disinfection, and discharge has helped clients achieve sustainable, economical solutions.

According to Pat, “I look forward to expanding the One Water group’s services and experience to better serve our water/wastewater, environment and infrastructure clients nationwide. We have a fantastic group of talented staff who have passion for their work, and I am excited for the future of our firm.”

Amy Squitieri, Mead & Hunt COO, agrees with this outlook. She states, “The depth of Pat’s technical experience and understanding of client needs creates tremendous value for our water infrastructure clients. I look forward to seeing Mead & Hunt’s One Water group flourish with Pat’s Leadership.”'
