WisDOT Design Award Nominations Open

'Ladies and Gentlemen,

It’s time for the 2023 Design Awards! This is the call for Nominations.

The Design Awards are an important annual opportunity to celebrate the excellent design work being done throughout the Department. Please share this call for awards widely with your staff and consultant partners.

Attached please find information about the Design Awards program, including the judging criteria and nomination requirements. The criteria are aligned with the Department’s priorities, so many projects should be able to compete. Note that they have been revised (a little) from last year. Projects do not need to be “big” to enter!

Each region is encouraged to submit one nomination in each of the following seven categories:

Best Structure - WisDOT         Best Structure - Consultant/Municipality

Best Urban Project - WisDOT             Best Urban Project - Consultant/Municipality

Best Rural Project - WisDOT              Best Rural Project - Consultant/Municipality

Best Local Program Project

Nominations are due at Central Office by Friday, December 23, 2022.
