At the May 2 ACEC WI Award Banquet, the organization was honored to present Gil Hantzsch with the Lifetime Achievement Award. Gil Hantzsch has been at MSA since 1992, taking over as President and CEO in 2013. He has served in a huge variety of volunteer roles, both at ACEC and in other organizations. Highlights include his 5 year board tenure including being Chair when Chris Klein was hired and his years as Leadership Institute Class advisor, leading to the creation of the Emerging Professionals Committee. He also inspired young minds at UW Madison, UW Platteville and throughout the Baraboo School District in a variety of volunteer roles. His commitment to a better world included getting a dump truck of water dropped on him as part of ALS’s Ice Bucket challenge and getting zapped in a Tesla coil to raise money for ACEC’s political giving efforts. Thank you to Gil for all of his work in the profession and the organization.
